On Location - a Modelling and Casting Portfolio for an Actor.

I love shooting on location but I do prefer it when the light is soft. That would usually mean early morning or late afternoon during the summer. On this shoot we did have to reschedule due to heavy rain from a few days earlier and even had to dodge some rain on the day - but the sun did come out to play as required - so we had soft lovely light; and managed to get our shots before Tayla's mum flew back to Melbourne. It's always great to have a strong support network. These pictures were predominately made as film and TVC casting shots and we went with a fresh fitness feel, keeping the background simple and focusing the attention where it should be, on Tayla.

Love & Luck - Behind the Scenes...

OMG! Well you know the world as you know it has changed forever when just a couple of weeks after your first BTS video appears, (and you didn't notice they were making it) your very next BTS video is there for all the world to see. We have been shooting the first Love & Luck campaign which has gone very very well (shots coming next week) and as you do... L&L have shot this BTS Video entirely on their iPhone. Yep its a brave new world where all your little tricks of the trade will be revealed. I even go Strobist on this one, ha! Modelling Portfolio - Manon

New model portfolio shots for the lovely Manon photographed just a few days ago. We shot in a lovely and simple suburban backyard location for these using natural light. A nice change from the recent studio based shoots. Actually this is the second shoot here this week, so I am out of order with my posts! We went for a soft Spring-Fashion Look, I love Manon's smile!

Chantal Croccolo at Priscillas

I confess I have not been watching Australia's Next Top Model so I really had no idea that Chantal had until very recently been on the show. That makes my third former ANTM and for better or for worse, I did not find out any of them had been on the show until they were on my set! Perhaps the show could move to the ABC, I am sure I would catch it there...

Model Portfolio Shoot - Kirstin at Priscillas

Kirstin's first ever photo shoot, and one of my first at the 'New' studio in Balmain.
Something of a day of firsts I suppose as it was also the first time I had worked with Hair & Make-Up Artist Dijana Coren. I think you will agree she did a fabulous job. Styling by Frank Sidney, vintage mixed with some no-frills basics.
